ELLES,… Project

ELLES,… est une série de films d’arts , en plusieurs volets, qui explore le désir et la place des femmes dans l’espace public à travers différents pays. Ce travail à la fois sensuel et poétique questionne la représentation du corps féminin et examine la cohabitation entre désirs intimes et problématiques contemporaines. Chaque film, ancré dans une ville spécifique, révèle une facette singulière de la notion de désir. Une texture visuelle unique et une création sonore originale, spécialement conçue pour l’image, renforcent l’identité de chaque volet. À travers leurs corps, leurs intimités et leurs ressentis, les femmes de ELLES,… livrent une interprétation sensible et incarnée du désir au féminin. Initialement conçu comme une trilogie, ce projet a déjà donné naissance à deux films, réalisés au Maroc et en Italie. Nous souhaitons désormais achever cette série avec un troisième film, afin de les réunir et les présenter sous forme d’installation

ELLES,… is a series of art films, composed of several chapters, that explores desire and the place of women in public space across different countries. This work, both sensual and poetic, questions the representation of the female body and examines the coexistence between intimate desires and contemporary issues. Each film, anchored in a specific city, reveals a singular facet of the notion of desire. A unique visual texture and an original sound creation, specially designed for the image, reinforce the identity of each chapter. Through their bodies, intimacies, and sensations, the women of ELLES,…offer a sensitive and embodied interpretation of feminine desire. Initially conceived as a trilogy, the project has already resulted in two films, created in Morocco and Italy. The aim is now to complete the series with a third film, in order to bring them together and present them as an installation.

En juin 2019, participation au festival YOUMEIN à Tanger et, en collaboration avec Nina Cholet, création du film ELLES, Tanger, soutenu et présenté par American Legacy. En octobre, présentation en avant-première du travail à la Maison Européenne de la Photographie lors de la FIAC, offrant un premier aperçu de cette collaboration. Présentation du film à Nice dans le cadre du festival OVNI. Poursuite du parcours artistique en septembre 2021 avec un second film, ELLES, Rome, créé dans la capitale italienne et présenté en avant-première à la Maison Européenne de la Photographie. Dans le même temps, participation à Kyotographie avec le projet ELLES lors de l’exposition Women Artists from the MEP Studio : New Perspectives in Film and Photography from France, soutenue par la MEP dans le cadre de la saison France-Japon.

In June 2019, she participated in the YOUMEIN festival in Tangier and, in collaboration with Nina Cholet, created the film ELLES, Tanger, supported and presented by American Legacy. In October, the two artists premiered their work at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie during FIAC, offering an early glimpse of their collaboration. Their film was later presented in Nice as part of the OVNI festival. The artistic journey continued in September 2021 with their second film, ELLES, Rome, which came to life in the Italian capital and was also premiered at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie. At the same time, she took part in Kyotographie with the ELLES project during the exhibition Women Artists from the MEP Studio: New Perspectives in Film and Photography from France, supported by the MEP as part of the France-Japan season.

Les statues qui peuplent la ville nous invitent à la recherche d’une sensualité de la pierre. Ce volet aux tons clairs et doux accordent les couleurs pastels de la peau et les confonds avec le blanc du marbre. L’abstraction qui découle de la superposition de matières organiques et minérales nous transporte dans un univers à la fois onirique et spatial. Les formes évocatrices et mystérieuses nous invitent à la contemplation et nous conduisent dans un univers sensuel. S’y glisse des touches de couleurs vives et ardentes qui troublent les songes et transportent dans un état d’exaltation et d’abandon des corps. A l’image de la Transverbération de Sainte Thérèse sculptée par Gian Lorenzo Bernini.i ce film sublime l’aspect éternel du désir qui échappe avec ardeur à la temporalité.

The statues that populate the city invite us to search for the sensuality of the stone.from with there are made,  This film in soft tones, matches the pastel colors of the skin, and confuses them with the white of  marble. The abstraction that results from the superposition of organic and mineral matter transports us into a universe both dreamlike and spatial. Touches of strong colors disturb dreams and invite both in a state of exaltation and of the abandonment of the bodie. As the Ecstasy of Saint Teresa sculpted by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, this film sublimates the eternal aspect of desire that escapes from any temporalitie.

Dans les recoins d’une ruelle étroite de la médina, un regard voluptueux se fraye un chemin au cœur de l’errance d ‘une mystérieuse présence féminine . Ce volet aux tons ocres et aux couleurs chaudes nous enveloppe dans ses tissus qui cachent et révèlent les corps. Jouant des ces drapés, ce qui est dissimulé donne aux moindres parcelles de ce qui est dévoilé une force d’attraction. Tel une fenêtre ouverte, ce film libère à la fois un sentiment pudique et transgressif.

In the corners of a narrow alley of the medina, a sensual look breaks through the heart of a mysterious woman’s wandering. This ochre and warm coloured palette envelops us, in its fabrics that hide and reveal bodies. Playing with these draped fabrics, what is hidden gives to the smallest pieces of what is revealed, a force of attraction. Like an open window, this film evokes both modesty and transgression feeling.
